Biography

Azia is currently in her final year of a Bachelor of Psychology, with hopes to pursue graduate studies in the field of social work. She is passionate about fostering community well-being, and diversity and making evidence-based mental health interventions accessible. Her empathic nature and nonjudgmental approach make her an invaluable team player.

As the administrative assistant and first point of contact at Momenta, Azia conducts intake screenings and assists clinicians with their schedules, along with working on special projects and community engagement. With a love for helping, organization, and a keen eye for detail she helps to support the overall smooth operations of our clinic.

Outside of Momenta, she volunteers for Pride Toronto as co-chair on one of their advisory boards, in a research lab focused on addiction vulnerabilities in early life and as a peer mentor for other mature students at York University. She also enjoys reading, photography, and traveling.
