Biography
Ailill (Al) Hall (they/them) has a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. They are passionate about providing affirming and knowledgeable care to clients from a variety of backgrounds. Using a cognitive-behavioral approach, Al helps clients to make meaningful changes in their lives, while also acknowledging the validity of the client’s lived experiences. They are passionate about working with clients to find an approach that fits them best.
Outside of clinical practice, Al has been a leader in social justice movements for gender-based causes, such as reproductive rights and the rights of gender-minority individuals. Their past research has examined the experiences of transgender and non-binary clients in therapy, focusing on microaggressions in the therapy context and ways to improve therapy for gender-diverse clients.
Al Hall is currently completing their post-master’s work experience in order to become registered as a Psychological Associate with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO). They work under the direct supervision of Dr. Harpreet Chattha, Ph.D., C.Psych. and are currently taking new patients for virtual services.
