Biography
Jennifer (she/her) is a Clinical Psychologist in Supervised Practice with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Counselling and Clinical Psychology from the University of Toronto, an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from York University and an Advanced Diploma in Child and Youth Care from the Humber College Institute of Technology and Applied Learning. Jennifer has over 25 years of experience providing mental health support to adolescents and adults in community, hospital, educational and private practice settings. As such, she is comfortable and competent working with individuals experiencing a range of mental health issues, life stressors and individuals with a history of trauma.
In her psychotherapy practice, Jennifer supports individuals using evidenced-based therapeutic approaches, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). If you or your adolescent chooses to work with Jennifer at Momenta Clinic you can expect a compassionate and collaborative approach to address the struggles you have been experiencing and the changes you hope to make in your life. Together, you and Jennifer would develop a plan on how you want to structure your sessions, and the outcomes you hope to achieve, and regularly check in to ensure you remain on track to meet your needs.
