Biography
Raysha obtained her Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto and is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). Raysha has worked in diverse settings such as food banks, community organizations, and health centers. This has allowed her to work with individuals from all walks of life. She enjoys working with individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds and is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment that embraces everyone. Currently, she supports adolescents and adults who struggle with mood disorders, mental health challenges, and addiction and who have experienced trauma.
When working with individuals, she considers the biological, psychological, emotional, and social factors that play a role in their well-being. She prioritizes client needs and is committed to meeting individuals wherever they are in their journey. Raysha uses a collaborative and compassionate approach to help individuals feel their best and lead fulfilling and purposeful lives aligned with their aspirations.
Raysha is a keen learner and is always looking for innovative ways to provide the best support possible to individuals. Beyond her practice, she dedicates ample time to expanding her knowledge and staying abreast of the latest advancements in her field. Drawing from evidence-based modalities, including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy, Raysha incorporates a diverse range of techniques into her practice. She also embraces anti-oppressive, culturally sensitive, strength-based, and trauma-informed approaches, ensuring that her clients receive comprehensive and personalized care that respects their unique experiences and backgrounds.
